Thank you for contacting Harford County Water and Sewer. I have referred this concern to our Operations group, who are responsible for maintenance of the treatment plant. I will update this request.

The water is not really connected to or a result of the treatment plant it just happens to be on the road that runs next the Redners and enters the gate at the plant but the water is in the right hand side of the road

Hopefully since the issue is between Redners and the pumping station, it will not become a finger pointing issue.

Can someone update me on what is happening in regards to getting this fixed?

The ponding occurs intermittently after heavy rains. We are looking into possible solutions. The County-owned right of way is limited to the width of the road, and the surrounding area does not drain well. There may be limited options available.

Thanks for the follow up. Ism certain this is not how it was installed and is used to drain just fine so I am confident there is a simple solution to return it to its original state.

Any update on when this will be fixed. It is a mess again today. The water lays there for many weeks after we get any rain.

Looks like they dug out a small trench to allow it to drain temporarily. Simple fix and cleaning out the years of accumulated sediment at the end of the road should fix it for the longer term.

A crew from Water & Sewer cleaned out the ditch this morning. We ran water onto the road as a test and the area seems to be draining better, but perhaps not perfectly. We will monitor the situation. Further improvements may require extensive grading and/or repaving the road .
