I apologize this was not updated - please see response below from the Engineering staff.
We received the request from Highway maintenance last June and reviewed.
Here was Matt Miller’s (our structural engineer) review from June 17, 2022.
"Per my site visit, the defect in question is located at Pier 2, Column 2. The defect is not new and has previously been reported in the biannual inspection reports for this structure. Compared to the 2021 Inspection Report, the defect has not digressed and the overall condition of the pier is comparable to that reported. Also, there are no signs of distress or settlement of the deck at this location which would raise concern. I will make note of this citizens concern and will monitor this defect in upcoming inspections."
