As written in the description when I submitted the ticket, "The sign at the entrance to Harford County on Rt. 40 East just before Joppa Farm Road has no lights on it. It used to be lit. Please check." So yes it used to be illuminated. There are light fixtures, but the bulbs are burnt out or there is another electrical issue.

Apologize for the error - It has been submitted to SHA for investigation.

The electricians traced the wires back to the damaged meter box across the street at the Rt 40 entrance to the shopping center. This meter box looks like it was hit by a car. BG&E has been contacted to make the repair to the meter box. Once the meter box has been repaired electric will be restored to the sign.

It appears the damaged meter and box have been removed. Please check to see if the lights were repaired.

Due to the expense involved to light the sign the County will not be make any repairs. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.
